The Keys have numerous charter boat captains from which to choose and you can easily make all of the arrangements for your fishing trip in the Atlantic or in the fabulous backcountry. If you prefer to bring your own boat the estate dock is fully equipped with two automated boat lifts, additional mooring poles, and a modern fish cleaning station.
Many of the fish that inhabit our waters are migratory and optimal seasons vary according to time of year, water temperature, weather patterns, and other conditions. To the left, you’ll find a chart that shows a calendar view of what are generally considered to be the optimal times for pursuing various species.
Rates fluctuate according to size of boat, season, and to some extent even the economy. You can confirm pricing prior to booking and after determining the type trip that you desire.

General guidelines are as follows:
Offshore blue water fishing in the Keys can be divided into two categories.
The first would be the "big" "Sportfisherman" type boats. Generally these
boats have twin diesel engines, air conditioned cabins, inside bathrooms,
and experienced mates. A party of up to six can fish on one of these boats.
The charter rates will range from $800 for a half day to $1500 for a full
day, plus gratuity for the mate (usually 15-20% of the charter rate).
The second would be the mid-size center console boats. These offshore trips are less expensive, the boats are smaller, faster, and more versatile for fishing, but do not offer as much cover from the elements. (Also bathrooms are small to non-existent.) The charter rates range from $600 for a half day to $1100 for a full day.
Back country fishing boats are either 17-18 foot flats boats with poling platform or bay boats. Flats boats are designed to pole through mere inches of “skinny” water in search of permit, bonefish, tarpon, and other species. They are open and offer no protection from the sun. Flats boats trips generally accommodate 2 people (Some captains will take 3 but extra charges will apply) half day rates are $350 and a full day is $500.

Bay boats are 22-24 ft. Center Consoles setup for a variety of species and can accommodate up to four clients. Many of them have “tee-tops” that provide some limited shade and are "kid-friendly", but don’t have bathrooms. In addition to typical back country fish such as tarpon, snook, redfish, speckled trout, mangrove snappers, etc. You can also fish wrecks in the Gulf for groupers, snappers, and cobia and of course the very popular sport of shark fishing for the numerous species of sharks that inhabit this area. Half day rates average $400 to full day at $750.
Special Trips: Rates vary for special trips such as daytime and nighttime sword fishing, Bahamas wahoo and blue marlin fishing, big game fly fishing, and night trips for tarpon and are handled by quote.
